Lynn Slimm - Mt. Laurel

Lynn Slimm is the director of the Mt. Laurel school and has been with KidAcademy since 1997.

As a mother of eight, she certainly understands the parent’s point of view. Lynn says “the ups and downs, joys and trials and tribulations that all of our school’s families experience are ones that I frequently have experienced with intimate knowledge. This knowledge is part of my investment into the educational experience of our students.”

Lynn’s educational background is in healthcare, where she studied nursing. Upon entering the field of childcare in 1991, she found her education was an asset in an infant/toddler setting. When she became employed at KidAcademy in 1997 and then decided to take her education further and received a National Administrator Credential (NAC) from the National Child Care Association in February 2000.

Lynn’s first job at KidAcademy Learning Center in 1997 was as the Infant Room Supervisor. Later she was promoted to Assistant Director and later to Director on March 9, 1998. She has experience teaching toddlers, Pre-K and infants. She has a wide range of interests, family being the most important. At one time my life was full of cheerleading, wrestling matches, football and baseball games, marching band competitions and concerts.

“During my tenure at KidAcademy, I have been able to incorporate my other interests into the growth of our center. I was able to share my love of decorative painting and stenciling on the walls of our school, as well as share my sewing talents in both the Mount Laurel and Cherry Hill centers. I also crochet and scrapbook, joys which I also have been able to contribute to our learning experience. I also participate in the Prayers and Squares Quilting Group, which provides those in need with quilts and also creates prayer squares for our men and women serving in the military.

Sharing the lives of children has added so much to my life, I am very thankful and fortunate for the opportunity.”

How lucky are we to have such a dedicated ,talented wonderful person like Lynn working KidAcademy .
